CAMP special

We have decided to make an CAMP special. The special will be with a mass start and will be on different kinds of maps. MTB maps, airfoto and old maps, etc. Basicly it will be a type of race like the Wild West, which is going on every second year in Denmark. Most of the Danish riders know this famous race that happens on old maps.

Skive plantage

The permission for Skive plantage has been granted. The forest will be used for night orienteering. The forest is flat with a lot of tracks. Parts of the map covers the excersise area for Skive barracks. At the moment the area is a little bit crowded, becaurse of a scoutcamp with 15000 scouts. The map is recently redrawn.

The new permissions are now beginning to come back to us and we are looking forward to get them all ready at the end of August. The first permission are for Krabbesholm. Krabbesholm are a small forest very close to the accommodation in Skive city. It is very hilly and our planes are to make a super sprint with focus on uphill and downhill biking. You can see the map under Maps.

Due to the international orienteering federations decision to place a World cup at the same dates as the MTBOCAMP 2011, we are now working to find new dates.
We are at the same time working on a feature on the webpage. You will then be able to sign up to get an email everytime we are updating the webpage with important infomation.
The winner of a free MTBOCAMP 2011 was Frantisek Bogar from the Czeck republic. Congratulations to Frantisek, who then will be the first person on the pre entry list, when it goes on the webpage.

Welcome

 The organizers from The Military sports club of Skive barracks (ISG) welcomes you to the 6th mountainbikeorienteeringcamp in Denmark. The camp will go on in the north western part of Jutland in the period 13-17th of April 2011. The barracks in Skive which is the home of the Danish Army Engineers will be the center of the training camp. The accommodation, dining, bikewash etc. will go on at the barracks.
In 2011 we have expanded the camp with one extra day, so that the participants have the opportunity to train a little bit more. We have tried to find the best terrains for you, which mean that you have to drive a little bit to get to the terrains, but then we can ensure you, that you will get the best terrains in the area.
We would like to state that this camp is for everybody who just loves to do mountainbike orienteering, so try to get your friends to come and participate.
At the moment we are in negotiations with the Defense forces of Denmark to host the first mountainbike orienteering championships of the defense forces of Denmark during the camp. We hope that it will be a positive result in order to get more participants in the sport mountainbike orienteering.
As we speak, we are trying to get the permissions for the access to the different forest. Some of the permissions/agreements are ready. So now we are focusing on the transmission of the maps from normal orienteering to mountainbike orienteering. As the permissions are ready you will be able to see them under the link MAPS.
